I am a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Lecturer, and Facilitator with many years of experience supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing. I have spoken about mental health on the radio in the UK, Cyprus, and South Africa, and my work has been published internationally. I have also completed a book on mental health (over 100 articles), due for publication in 2026. My focus is always on offering a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood.
About me and my practice
My name is Vasos, and I am a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor with over 25 years of experience.
I offer a calm, safe, and confidential space where you can talk openly about what is going on in your life, without fear of judgement. Many people I work with feel anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, stuck, or struggling with relationships, family issues, or life changes.
You do not need to have the right words or know exactly where to start. We can go at your pace and focus on what feels important for you.
My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. I listen carefully and work with you to help make sense of your thoughts and feelings, so you can feel more understood, more grounded, and more able to cope.
I offer both in-person and online sessions.
If you are thinking about therapy, you are very welcome to get in touch when it feels right for you.
Experience
I have over 25 years of experience working as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and life difficulties.
I have worked within an Employee Assistance Programme for a large transport organisation (TfL), based in Occupational Health. In this role, I supported people who were often under a great deal of pressure, whether from work, home, or both. You may recognise this feeling yourself. Many people were experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma, or PTSD, and what they needed most was a private space where they could talk and feel heard.
I have also worked in a UK university with international postgraduate and doctoral students. Many of the people I supported were living away from home, adjusting to a new culture, and trying to manage academic pressure alongside feelings of loneliness, relationship difficulties, and emotional strain. If you have ever gone through a big life change, you may understand how overwhelming this can feel.
Alongside my client work, I am a Clinical Supervisor, supporting both trainee and qualified counsellors and therapists. This involves offering a safe and reflective space where they can talk through their work and feel supported in what they carry.
Across all my experience, one thing remains central for me: how important it is that you feel safe enough to talk. I believe that when you feel listened to and understood, it becomes easier to make sense of what you are going through and begin to move forward at your own pace.ng through and begin to move forward at their own pace.
